Azaan is recited in different vocal styles or maqams depending on the region and reciter, common ones include the Makkah/Madinah style (measured and traditional), the Turkish style (often more melodic, using maqam Rast or Hijaz), and the Egyptian and Indo-Pak styles, which tend to have longer, more elaborate melodic phrasing. The words of the Azaan stay exactly the same everywhere, only the tune, pace, and vocal ornamentation differ from reciter to reciter and region to region mashallah.
