My commute from Kukatpally to Hitech City is anywhere between 50 minutes and an hour
and a half. Two years of the same old film songs playlist and I'm done with
it. A colleague said try podcasts. I did last week and fell asleep at a signal.
The auto guy next to me honked till I woke up. Very embarrassing. I need
something that keeps me awake but isn't too loud or too serious at 8 in
the morning. Real stories work better for me than panels where everyone talks over each other.
Tried a cricket history show, liked it, but episodes are too long. Forty
minutes is perfect, that's the bad stretch of road. A business podcast lost
me in ten minutes. I don't work in finance, it felt like another language.
A comedy one was fun but all the jokes were about cities I've never been to.
I'd like something about places and food I know from living here, Hindi or Urdu is
fine, English if they're not too fast. Skip the shows that spend five minutes introducing the guests.
I've crossed a flyover by then. Free only please, my data plan
is tight. Which one would you start with if you had my commute?
