💸 Recovery agents crossed all limits over my personal loan

I took a personal loan from a private bank two years back for my sister's wedding expenses, around 3 lakhs. Things were fine the first year, EMIs went out on time. Then I lost my job during company layoffs and missed two payments. That is when the real nightmare started. Recovery agents began calling not just me but my parents, my neighbours, and my old office colleagues, asking about my whereabouts like I had committed a crime. One agent showed up at my house in Malakpet early morning and stood outside shouting in front of everyone on the street. I felt humiliated and could not step out of the house for days. Eventually I went to the bank branch and escalated it through their grievance cell, and the harassment calls stopped within a week. I am still paying it off slowly now with a revised EMI.
