💬 Building a budget PC, my Sultan Bazaar shopping experience

Finally built my own PC last weekend after months of watching YouTube videos and being scared to actually do it. Thought I’d share my experience since people often ask whether Sultan Bazaar is still worth it compared to ordering online. Short answer: yes, but with conditions. My budget was around ₹55k for coding, light video editing, and occasional gaming. I visited a few shops around the SP Road/Sultan Bazaar stretch and compared prices with Amazon and Flipkart on my phone. This is probably the smartest thing you can do. Many shopkeepers will match or come close to online prices, especially on RAM, SSDs, and cabinets. The biggest saving for me was the Ryzen 5 5600 + B550 motherboard combo. They also installed the CPU and thermal paste, which made my first build easier. SSD and RAM prices were almost identical to online. I’d be more careful with the PSU. Some shops push lesser-known brands, so know your preferred model beforehand. My advice: research exact model numbers, compare prices on your phone, and don't let anyone upsell you. Assembly took about 2 hours. The motherboard manual was a lifesaver!

Also, did the shop give you proper GST bills and individual warranty for all the components?
