⌨️ Completely lost trying to pick my first mechanical keyboard switch type

Decided to finally upgrade from the basic membrane keyboard that came with my desk setup years ago, mostly because typing all day for work has started making my fingers feel tired by evening in a way it never used to. Started researching mechanical keyboards and immediately got overwhelmed by how many different switch types exist, linear, tactile, clicky, and then within each of those apparently dozens of specific variants from different brands with slightly different actuation forces and travel distances that all sound identical on paper. Watched a few comparison videos online trying to understand the actual difference, everyone seems to have a strong personal opinion about which type is objectively better, though a lot of the actual difference seems to come down to personal preference rather than one type being universally superior for typing versus gaming versus general office use. Visited an actual store in Ameerpet that had a demo board set up with a few different switch samples to try physically, which honestly helped more than any amount of reading online, the tactile ones felt noticeably different under my fingers compared to the linear ones in a way that video reviews genuinely could not convey properly. Still torn between a tactile switch that felt good for typing during that demo, and a quieter linear option that would probably annoy my family less during late night work sessions, since our home office setup is not exactly isolated from the rest of the house acoustically. Budget wise trying to stay under six thousand rupees for the whole keyboard, which apparently limits some of the more premium switch options but still leaves a reasonable number of choices from what I have seen browsing so far. Anyone here actually gone through this same decision process recently, and did you end up happy with whatever switch type you eventually settled on for regular daily typing use? Would help to hear from people using these for actual work rather than just gaming setups specifically.
