I'm out of the house from 8 in the morning till late evening. Meetings, calls, maps, constant messages.
My current phone is at 20 percent by 2 pm. I carry a power bank in my bag now, and I hate it.
It weighs as much as my lunch. Last week the phone died in a taxi, so I couldn't book a ride home.
I stood outside a building for 15 minutes asking a security guard to let me charge it.
I don't care much about the camera. I'd take a slightly thick phone if it meant a full day.
My target is 16 hours without checking the battery percentage every hour like it's a pulse.
Fast charging matters too. If I get 10 minutes at lunch, I want that to count for something.
A slow charger that takes over an hour to get anywhere is useless in my day.
One thing I've noticed. The battery size on the box doesn't tell me much.
A friend's phone has a bigger battery than mine but dies sooner. It seems to depend on the chip and software.
So I'd rather hear from people who use their phones hard than read a spec sheet.
Tell me what you carry now and how long it lasts in a normal workday.
Also, has anyone found battery settings that made a real difference? I turned on battery saver once.
My phone got so slow that I turned it off in 10 minutes, so that was a waste.
I've heard dark mode and lower brightness help. I'm doubtful about both.
I'll be home in Hyderabad for a visit in 2 months and can buy there if someone has a favourite.
