My phone is 4 years old now and the camera has gotten really bad, mostly at night.
I take a lot of photos in the evening with friends, at tea stalls and outside restaurants.
The pictures come out blurry and full of noise, and friends always ask me to send the
one from their phone. That hurts a bit, because I'm the one who always takes the photos.
So I'm upgrading and the budget is around ₹20,000. Camera matters most for me this time.
I don't care about the megapixel number on the box. I learned that the hard way once.
A phone with a huge number took worse photos than my friend's phone with a much smaller
number. What matters to me is how it handles bad lighting and whether the picture looks natural.
Video is second. I take short walking videos and I just want them not to shake like
a washing machine. I'm not making films, so I don't need anything fancy there, only decent stabilization.
I've watched some review videos, but most reviewers take photos in sunlight, which tells
me nothing. My photos are at 8 pm in a dark lane, and that's the
test I care about. I'm also open to an older flagship phone, bought used
or refurbished, if its camera is better. I'm a bit nervous about used phones though.
Battery health and fake listings scare me. If you've used a phone in
this range for a few months, tell me what you got and how the
night photos look. Please don't just paste spec sheets. I can read those myself.
