💬 Bachelor's life in Saudi Arabia

Myself Khaja from Hyderabad - India, I worked in Riyadh for about 9 years and I resigned in 2018 and came back to India. My experience was mixed, mostly most of the things depends on your sponsor from where you get visa, I visited on independent visa and I stay with my friend in Riyadh, we both share 1 room in 4 room flat, monthly rent 400 SR per head and regarding the food, we use to eat in Hyderabadi hotel, which cost single person 450 SR. After 12 days I received my valid Iqama for 2 years, now I am free to search the job, I started searching job, daily I used to leave home in the morning around 8:30am, I used to walk almost 10 kilometers and search for the job, entering each and every company. After almost around 2 months searching I got Administration Assistant job in one Trading company, and my job timings was from 8am to 1:30pm then 1 hour lunch then again 2:30pm to 6:00pm, I leave office at 6 pm and reach home at 6:30pm, I use to travel in bus/coaster which cost per trip 2 riyal. Now, I am in Hyderabad but still I remember those days which I spend in Saudi, the most excitement trips for going Makkah & Madinah by Saptco bus almost 12 hours journey. khaja Meer

Thanks for sharing this, really detailed account bhai. The part about walking 10km daily just to search for jobs door to door shows how much hustle it took back then. Sharing a room to keep costs down at 400 SR sounds tough but manageable with the right roommate. The Saptco trip to Makkah and Madinah must have been such a special experience despite the long journey. Did you ever think about going back, or is settling in Hyderabad for good now?

hello brother, I was in Dubai, I studied till 10th and return to Hyderabad in 2022 for further studies, now I completed my degree and again thinking to go back to Dubai, instead of any other gulf countries...I love Dubai since I stayed almost 15 years....
