💬 Stuck in tutorial hell, how do you actually start building on your own?

I have finished a few Python and JavaScript courses but the moment I open a blank editor my mind goes blank. Following along with a tutorial feels easy, building something from scratch feels impossible. How did you all make that jump from watching to actually building? Did you start with small projects or just rebuild things you had already learnt?
