Next.js vs plain React
Every second person messaging me on LinkedIn from Ameerpet institutes asks: “React seekhun ya seedha Next.js?”
If you're completely new to web development, start with React for 2-3 weeks. Learn components, props, state, hooks, rendering, and basic routing. Next.js is built on React, so once your fundamentals are strong, the transition is much easier.
But if your goal is getting a frontend job within 3-4 months, move to Next.js quickly. Many modern product companies expect it, especially for full-stack roles. Don't just watch courses. Build 2-3 complete projects: a blog, e-commerce catalog, or an app connected to Supabase/Firebase. One finished, deployed project you can explain confidently is worth more than five half-finished projects. Also, learn the Next.js App Router, not only the older Pages Router found in many 2021-22 tutorials.
My advice: React fundamentals → Next.js → real projects → interviews.⚡
